The $0 Startup Setup Checklist I Used to Start From Zero
Everyone teaches the launch. Nobody teaches the setup.
I am 46, living in Henderson, Nevada, and I started this from zero — no audience, no team, no budget to speak of. Before I worried about going viral, I did the unsexy part first: I made myself look real, and I gave people somewhere to go.
That is what this checklist is. It is not a success story. It is the exact setup I used, step by step, for $1.18 in total so far.
Step 1: Buy a domain with your brand name
Mine is wealthwithenrique.online. It cost $1.18 for the first year. That one purchase gave me a name I own, an address I can point people to, and a home base that is not rented from a social platform.
Step 2: Set up a free business email on that domain
Mine is support@wealthwithenrique.online, set up through Zoho Mail's free plan. It took some setup — domain checks, mail records, all the behind-the-scenes pieces — but once it was green across the board, I had a real contact address instead of a personal inbox doing double duty.
Step 3: Match your handles
Same name everywhere, one short bio. When someone finds you in one place, they should be able to find you in the next without guessing. That consistency costs nothing, and it makes you easier to trust.
Step 4: Build one link page
I use a free Linktree. One link holds everything: my site, my free guide, my first offer, and my other pages. Beginner mistake I almost made: chasing traffic before I had anywhere to send it. Fix the base first, then post.
Step 5: Make one small offer
Not five offers. One. Something you can actually deliver. Mine is a $35 done-for-you affiliate promo package — a review post, promo email copy, and social posts, delivered in 48 hours, content only. I am being clear about what it is and what it is not: no landing page, no email system included.
Step 6: Post every day
One post a day, in public, even with zero followers. This is Day 3 of my daily series, and the reps are the strategy. Posting when nobody is watching yet is the hard part — not finding the perfect product.
A few honest notes
My business is not legally registered yet, and I am not claiming sales or income here. This checklist is the foundation, not the finish line. I also read the fine print before I celebrate anything — that habit saved me from surprises more than once, including on a grant application where the terms mattered as much as the prize.
If you are starting from zero too, start here. Domain, email, handles, link page, one offer, daily posts. Order matters more than speed.
What part of the setup are you stuck on right now? Tell me in the comments — I read every one.
