Starting From Zero at 46: My First Honest Post
Most people starting an online business won't tell you their starting line. Here's mine: I'm 46, I'm in Henderson, Nevada, and I'm building from zero — no audience, no list, no product revenue yet. This blog is the receipt book.
I didn't arrive here through a guru course. I arrived the way most people do: years of working hard inside other people's systems, watching the value of that work land somewhere else. The math never changed no matter how hard I pushed. So I'm changing the math.
What I'm actually building
Wealth With Enrique is a one-person business built on three things:
- Digital products — small, useful downloads I create once and can sell repeatedly.
- Affiliate marketing — recommending tools and programs I genuinely use, with the links disclosed.
- Documentation — this blog. Every step, posted in public, including the parts that don't work.
No team. No investors. No pretending.
My rules (they keep me honest)
- $0 budget. Free tools only. If a tool needs a credit card "just in case," it's out.
- No income claims. I will never show you a number I didn't earn or a result I can't prove.
- No hype. If something fails, it gets a post too.
- Consistency over intensity. Small daily moves beat weekend marathons.
Why document it?
Because the internet is full of people teaching from the finish line, and almost nobody reports from the starting line. If you're 40-plus and starting late, you're not behind — you're just undocumented. Somebody should write down what week one actually looks like: the free domain, the first clumsy product, the posts nobody sees yet.
That's this. Week one, written down.
What happens next
The store is live. The first product is built. The content goes out daily. What I don't know yet is which part works first — and I won't pretend otherwise. Check back; the receipts accumulate here.
Dream. Learn. Create. Earn.
